     Challah in the Making...

 

In this full Kosher bakery, hand scaled 250 gram (9oz) dough pieces are simply tossed into the hopper of the 860L Moulder.

 

This staff member is scaling and making 600 Challah ropes in her first hour, on her first day!

 

Formed to a slight taper, they are ready to be hand braided into 3  rope (or stripe) Challah.

Braiding Challah is faster and easier when the ropes are consistent in length and diameter.

After a 1 hour proof they are brushed with egg wash and placed into the hearth oven.

 

 

  ...and the final product.
